Back in the Saddle

As I previously mentioned, this is my third run at blogging. I did it for several months in 2009 and several more in 2011. I took a break from writing, and blogging, but always wanted to find my way back, find my way home. Writing, for me, is as much about me, and for me, as it is for the reader. It is a process of self discovery, self analysis, self inspection and personal development. I’ve read, in numerous places, in article after article, and book after book, that we should journal. I’ve had hundreds of journals over my life. Big ones and small ones. Fancy ones and cheap ones. For some, I’ve filled a few pages. Some, I have filled from cover to cover. Curiously, I don’t keep them. Once they serve their purpose, I discard them. I move onto the next one and don’t look back. I’m not the sentimental type and I’m not the type to look in the rear view. Perhaps I should. But each of us has our own prism, our own paradigm through which we see the world. Maybe if I did look back I would have picked up writing again sooner than I did, started blogging again sooner than I did. But what’s done is done. If there is something you have put down and ever wondered if you’d pick it up again, it’s not too late. It’s never too late. You can always get back in the saddle and give it another whirl. I mean, why not, right?
