The X Factor

So much of what we do as lawyers is running down the relevant law and facts. The more we know about the case, the better our valuation of the case and the better we can advise our clients. In each case,. there are things we don’t know, what I call the X factor. The larger the X factor, the harder it is to get our arms around the case, prepare the case, advise our client and develop a case theme and theory. Our jobs is to identify the X factor and make it as small as possible as fast as possible.
