It’s Free

When I started as a young lawyer in 1997, there weren’t many resources for young lawyers, and few were free. I had the privilege and pleasure to follow Ervin Gonzalez, a world renowned Plaintiff’s trial lawyer, who had his own website long before that was a thing. He had articles on deposition and trial skills, which were free to download and access. I read everything on his website, twice. I believe lots of lawyers, on both sides of the V, learned from his website.

Today, there is no shortage of resources for lawyers - blogs, webinars, articles, e-books, websites, social media, etc., which are free or almost free, and are available to make all of us better lawyers. If you’re a young lawyer, search the internet and track down free resources that will improve your hard and soft skills. I’m not the only one sharing my thoughts. Many lawyers from across the country and from around the world are sharing their experiences, expertise, wisdom and advice. Search them out and learn from them.
